Serena Ard will present "Duneland's Indian Boundary Line" on Thursday, September 19, at 1p inside the Hawthorne Park Community Center.
Most of us have traveled down Indian Boundary Road, but do you know why it's called that? Learn about the history behind the boundary line to gain understanding of what it meant for pioneer settlers and the indigenous peoples who lived here before them.
This program of the Duneland Historical Society (DHS) is free and open to the public. All regular DHS programs take place inside the Hawthorne Park Community Building (500 Ackerman Drive) in The Town of Porter. For more information, contact Serena at (219) 983-9715.
Although not formally linked, the DHS and PoCo Muse have worked together regularly since the 1940s.
