Serena Ard and Nancy Hokanson will present "The History of Hawthorne Park,” on Thursday, May 16, at 1p inside the Hawthorne Park Community Center.

From privately-owned farmland to a beautiful, public recreation area for the Town of Porter, learn about the interesting history of the park and the building in which the Duneland Historical Society now meets.

This program of the Duneland Historical Society (DHS) is free and open to the public. Although not formally linked, the DHS and PoCo Muse have worked together regularly since the 1940s.
