One hundred years ago, on September 24, 1916, residents from across Porter County traveled to Valparaiso to view historical exhibits on display for Indiana’s Centennial. When the exhibit ended, many residents neglected to pick up their objects, and the Porter County Museum was born!
Join us this Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 11a-3p as we celebrate 100 years of the Porter County Museum! Museum staff will be serving up birthday cake and will be available to chat about the history of the Museum, and its future plans. At 2p, Executive Director Kevin Pazour will embark on a walking tour of downtown Valparaiso!
Help us celebrate 100 years of Museum history as we look forward to the next 100!
