MAPS & DIRECTIONS
The PoCo Muse is located downtown Valparaiso, IN, on the southeast corner of Franklin Street and Indiana Avenue on the courthouse square. Click here for more information.
The Porter County Museum does not have a parking lot, although there are several free city lots nearby. It is best to park in the lot at the southeast corner of Indiana Avenue and Michigan Street, as it has ample parking.
Pay close attention to signage, as street parking is designated with two and three hour time limits. If you exceed the time limit, you will likely be fined. At times, the downtown is host to a variety of other entertainment and special events, which can affect traffic and parking.
Unfortunately, our current facility is not ADA compliant. There are steps up to the front door, and the restroom is located on the second floor. This is a primary reason of why the Porter County Museum is expanding. The new building at 20 Indiana Avenue (located directly across the street to the west of the Porter County Museum) is wheelchair accessible and has a first floor bathroom. If you have questions about the accessibility of the PoCo Muse, please don’t hesitate to call 219.465.3595. We will do everything possible to accommodate our guests.
